Was this supposed to be a joke??

I just have to share what happened to a friend of Emily and Josh. His name is Phillip and he is six.

His First Grade Teacher had all her students write letters to Santa. She then took these letters and had them distributed among some Junior High students who were to write an answer as Santa Claus. When the letters came back she opened them one at a time and read them in front of the class.

The student who had answered Phillip's letter basically said that he was a naughty boy this year and was put on the Naughty List, and that Santa would not come to his house. The teacher realized too late what the letter said and Phillip was crushed. His mom felt so bad for him and has done everything she can think of to fix the problem; telling him that a bad little elf got into Santa's office and wrote that letter and for Phillip to expect something special from Santa to make up for it.

I am just wondering...what kind of person decides to do something like this during a time of giving and good deeds? I hope that we can all strive to keep up the wonderful fantasies of Christmas and keep Christ close to our hearts.

I'm sure the kid didn't realize that someone would actually read it to the student. Some kids are just stupid. That kid probably won't be getting anything for Christmas. I hope little Phillip is okay.

Poor little Phillip. But honestly, the teacher could have proofed them a little don't ya think? Knowing they're coming from a 14 yr old. Hope Santa gets the little guy something cool.

Oh my gosh! That breaks my heart. I can't imagine one of my little boys thinking that Santa really had put them on the naughty list.

What a BRAT. Too bad there wasn't a real naughty list for that teen to go on.
