Garden 2.0

We finally have our garden planted! YEAH!!!!


We're trying out the whole Square Foot Gardening idea this year.
We used to have a gorgeous garden, but our redneck neighbor decided to build a vinyl fence right behind the chainlink fence that was right behind where our garden sat.
(Yes, there really are now 2 fences sitting right next to each other; said redneck put both of them in).

Anyway, the vinyl fence ended our old garden spot; no sunlight. So we're trying our hands at a square foot garden.

Last Saturday I put in the compost mix in the thing. When we got home from church on Sunday our dog nearly met an untimely death because he had decided that every square of the thing was great to dig in (stupid dog!)

So, this week we put up chicken wire around it to keep the mut out.


Watermelon, Radishes, Tomatoes, Peas, Cauliflower, Lettuce, Carrots, Zucchini, and one more I can't remember.

With any luck we'll have some veggies by the middle of the summer!
