New Wireless Printer!

It's amazing how the simple things, like being able to send a fax, make a copy, or print something in color, can really cramp your style when you all of a sudden can't do it.

The other day my trusty Canon printer finally bit the dust (I wore the poor thing out). So, I just picked up a really cool Wireless replacement for it and life is great again!

This thing is cool! Once it's installed, any computer on my wireless network can print, scan, or fax to it over wireless! I don't even have a USB cable or network cable plugged into it! Talk about cool!

It also can fax, scan, copy, & print in duplex (both sides)! Plus it can print out these cool "template" sheets of lined paper, graph paper, music staff paper, etc. My heavens! What will they think of next! Pretty darn cool!

And the best part of it all was that it was really cheap! $129.00 on Amazon.com! Man I love that website! I ordered it on Monday and it was here on Thurs and shipping was FREE!!! Gotta love it!

Laundry

I hate Laundry!!! I am terrible at removing stains and even worse at getting it folded and put away. Graydon knows that sometimes I need a little push.

He went to the store the other day and brought me home a card. (I would show it to you, but our scanner is broken.) The front shows a Fifties-style housewife holding a nicely folded pile of towels. She says, "Kids...I have fresh towels for you to leave rotting on the floor...come and get 'em!"

Inside it says, "Don't you just love that 12 seconds when all the laundry is done?"

I laughed. I have a book called The Queen Cleans Everything. In this book the Queen of Clean says that the Laundry is NEVER done...unless everyone runs around nude and doesn't use anything. (Okay, those may have not been her exact words, but it's the general idea.) I think that it is just aweful that the job that can never be completely done is the one I hate the most.

Thank you, Honey for the wonderful card.

Look Mom!!

I was in the kitchen today trying to figure out what to make for dinner. The kids were quietly entertaining themselves. This should have alerted me, but I didn't notice anything until Laurie came up to me with the sleeves of her dress soaked.

On investigation this is what I found. Her new christmas baby dolls were taking a bath in the toilet. Luckily she had flushed it earlier.

Was this supposed to be a joke??

I just have to share what happened to a friend of Emily and Josh. His name is Phillip and he is six.

His First Grade Teacher had all her students write letters to Santa. She then took these letters and had them distributed among some Junior High students who were to write an answer as Santa Claus. When the letters came back she opened them one at a time and read them in front of the class.

The student who had answered Phillip's letter basically said that he was a naughty boy this year and was put on the Naughty List, and that Santa would not come to his house. The teacher realized too late what the letter said and Phillip was crushed. His mom felt so bad for him and has done everything she can think of to fix the problem; telling him that a bad little elf got into Santa's office and wrote that letter and for Phillip to expect something special from Santa to make up for it.

I am just wondering...what kind of person decides to do something like this during a time of giving and good deeds? I hope that we can all strive to keep up the wonderful fantasies of Christmas and keep Christ close to our hearts.

A Busy Day

Emily had a very exciting day loaded with two birthday parties. I dropped her off at the theater at 10:45 am for the first, where she was able to see the movie "The Princess and the Frog." The second Party was at 1:30 pm at Chuck E. Cheese's. The first didn't let out until 1:45 so she was a half hour late for the second. It all ended with a Limo ride home. (One of the girls' father owns a limo service and offered to take them all home.)

While she was gone I took the other two kids to McDonald's. When we got home we got ready to see the lights at Temple Square. It was a great evening of lights, crowds, and only a half hour of whining about the cold.

My Favorite YouTuber....

I'm a YouTube nut. I've always been fascinated with it. However, I do have my favorite video producers. One group in particular called WhatYouOughtToKnow is particularly entertaining while educational at the same time.

They just posted a great new video.

Enjoy.
